Words at the Wharf will take place from 7.15pm-9.15pm (free entry).
Derbyshire-based Mark Gwynne Jones will be performing a selection of his poetry and there will also be the opportunity for other writers to come along and showcase their own work in the relaxed atmosphere of Wheatcroft’s Wharf Café.

Five times Fringe award winner Mark Gwynne Jones is well known for his mind altering poetry with an almost music hall edge.
A skilful mix of humour and poignancy has made him a favourite of listeners to BBC Radio 4’s Wondermentalist Cabaret and Radio 3’s Late Junction.

Hide AdAs resident poet in four of London’s parks, Mark explored what is meant by ‘common ground’ in 21st century Britain.
In 2012, Mark and his band Psychicbread were commissioned to write and record a new collection of poems for his native Peak District.
He has published five collections of poetry and has appeared in numerous anthologies.
Earlier this year Mark toured southern India with Indian poet Mamta Sagar.
