Causeway Lane was a blaze of light in 1983, when Lord Lieutenant Colonel Peter Hilton pulled the switch to officially launch Matlock Town’s new floodlights and stand.

Pictured with him at the event are Wolverhampton supremo Derek Dougan, Wolves director Roger Hipkiss, Matlock president Don Carr and chairman Cliff Britland.
