The youngsters in this picture are from a bygone era.
The photograph shows children who appear to be at an unidentified school with their school mistress stood next to them.
The girls are wearing dresses and pinafores and the boys are dressed in their best.
The location and date of the picture is not clear, however the snap looks like it has been taken around the turn of the 19th Century.
The faces of the people in the photograph are very stern, this is simply because in the early days of photography it took a long time for the picture to be taken, and it was hard for people to hold a smile.
