It’s panto time for Tansley
A home-produced pantomine ‘Aladdin’ was finally brought back to the stage by the Tansley Players in 1982.
Originally written by Peter Clark in 1942 and performed when he was just 16 years old, it was mothballed until 1962, after he moved from Leeds to Tansley.
The Young Wives’ Group resurrected it, but then it disappeared again until 1981, when rehearsals began.
Pictured here are members of the cast: Dinah Gregory, Micheal L’Connor, Chris Johnson, Derek Pearson and Ruth Strange.
