Past post card
A brightly coloured Matlock Bath is shown in this picture, used on a post card souvenir of the town.
The picturesque shops and greenery of the tourist hot spot have been captured in all their splendour.
The post card was sent by a lady called Alice to someone in Belgrave Street, Darlington.
It is dated May 1929 and a one penny stamp was used to send it, featuring a noble looking picture of King George V on it.
On the card is written: “Edna and I are here for ten days.
“Go home on the 15th.
“Uncle is in Matlock.
“Hope to see you when we get back.
“Love from Alice and Edna.”
