Green lane row rolls on

I FIND myself writing again to you about the Green Lane issue.

Reader David Moore, presented himself as someone who believed he had the right to claim ownership of not only Green Lanes but who is allowed into the National Park.

I am at a loss to understand his conflict between off-roaders and others. If we are on a highway or a green lane we expect to encounter other users.

There are 5,000 miles of footpath plus all the bridleways where his group are free to roam. Why does he wish to claim the 300 miles left open to off-roaders to enjoy.

The 22 million visitors will include walkers, bikers, motorcyclists, horse riders and four-wheel-drivers – all entitled to freedom of the park.
