A letter of advice Dear Madam, As the dust settles after A-level results and people are wondering what step to take next, I would recommend a free UK gap year.

Apprenticeships: an alternative route after GCSEs As GCSE students receive their exam results this week, many will go on to study for A-levels, whilst for some young people, work-based learning, such as Apprenticeships, offer a more appropriate alternative.

A level blues? How about a free gap year? Volunteering charity CSV is offering a free gap year option to students across the UK who may have gained 'unexpected' A Level results this week, whether for better or worse.
