Grateful thanks
I’m writing to ask if you can pass on a big thankyou on behalf of myself and the Chesterfield and District MS Society Branch to all the individuals who helped put on a Charity Brass Band concert on November 4. The event would not have been possible without the donation of the hall by Whittington Moor Methodist church, and the church ladies for organising all the refreshments. An event of this nature which needs 100% of the money raised to go to a local charity is impossible to organise without the support from many individuals so it was refreshing to see groups pulling together, from St James church Temple Normanton, Wasps ladies group, Inner Wheel club of Clay Cross, Clowne Community Transport and the individuals who manned the door.
The event would not have been possible without the philanthropy of the Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Brass Band. We raised some £830.
