Bronte classic is latest screening

Jane Eyre (PG), Cary Fukunaga’s much-lauded adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s novel, will be shown by Tansley Film in Tansley Village Hall on Tuesday, February 7.

This latest screen interpretation of Brontë’s 19th-century classic has won wide acclaim.

Much of the 2011 production was filmed on location in Derbyshire, and the film features some dramatic local scenery, including Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Froggat.

The screening starts at 7.30pm, with refreshments available from 7pm. The screening is open to everyone – no membership is required. You can pay £4 on the door or buy a card for £12 giving you entry to the remaining four films in this year’s programme. Films are shown in HD from Blu-ray disc and the venue offers comfortable seating, widescreen presentation and Dolby surround sound. Call 01629 584243 to guarantee seats.
