Dealers plug in

A list of 21 Renault dealers has been announced, each of which will be a new electric vehicle centre capable of selling, servicing and providing charging facilities.

The sites cover the Home Counties, the South Coast and West as far as Plymouth, with locations also in Cardiff, the North East and major Midland cities including Birmingham and Leicester.

The North West, beyond a pair of dealerships in Manchester and Liverpool, will not have a Z.E Expert site.

Each dealership on the list will have a minimum of two specially trained electric car specialist sales people with the ability to answer questions concerning Renault’s expanding Z.E range of fully electric cars, as well as complete servicing expertise and a charging point outside the building for customers to use if they wish.

A further three service staff - a manager and two technicians - can perform all the necessary maintenance on any of Renault’s range of Z.E vehicles, which has begun with the Fluence Z.E and the Kangoo Z.E.

Each Z.E Expert site will have a Kangoo van Z.E demonstrator, to allow potential buyers to experience an electric driving experience.

They will also have three electric charging points; one for the service area, one for the demonstrator area and one for the customer car park.

Thierry Sybord, managing director, Renault UK, said: “I’m delighted to see so many of our dealers embracing this new era of electric transport.

“With a range of four fully electric models set to launch in the UK in less than one year, we have high hopes for our Z.E range.”
