Christ Church in Belper stages annual concert To Drive Cold Winter Away, on Friday, December 7, from 8pm.

The concert at the Bridge Street-based church features seasonal warming songs and carols from Derbyshire’s traditional musicians, Barry Coope, Lester Simpson, Fi Fraser and Jo Freyer, in fantastic four-part harmony, mixed with a dazzling array of instruments.

The concert features songs and music old and new, mixed with anecdotes that will inform and amuse.

This new show has been specially put together by the group for their extensive Christmas Tour and is suitable for all ages.
