Court in session for more laughs
Court in the Act! is back by popular demand for four nights only at Nottingham Playhouse, following sold out performances in 2011.
The popular improvisation show, starring actress and Paul Merton Impro Chum Suki Webster and Pippa Evans from BBC2’s improvisation show Fast and Loose, will be on at the Playhouse from February 1-4.
Six intrepid improvisers create a complete and completely mad court case based on suggestions provided by the audience. Witnesses are called and cross-examined by the counsels and the jury (12 members of the audience) then give their verdict. Whether the crime is goldfish fraud, laying a carpet upside down or the theft of the Isle of Wight, the British Comedy Company will conjure up a case guaranteed to have the audience in stitches.
The company will also be performing a special children’s version of the show on Saturday, February 4, at 2.30pm. Will Harry Potter and Ben 10 make the Witness Box? Suitable for ages seven-plus and families.
