Ghosts down on the farm

Attic Rats' production of Ghosts Of The Farm

Attic Rats' production of Ghosts Of The Farm

DERBYSHIRE theatre company Attic Rats is set to perform Ghosts of the Farm at Bluebells Farm this week.

The group is performing some very eerie tales of ghostly goings-on at Locko, near Spondon. This is the first time Attic Rats have taken their drama to a farm and the first time Bluebells Farm has staged anything like this.

Attic Rats director Jonathan Leach commented: “We are looking to make the evenings of the performance totally unique. Not only will there great drama but also some unexpected ghostly happenings and, in some cases, the audience will be in the thick of it”.

The drama will particularly focus on the history of Locko, including the Knights of the Templar, the leper colony at Locko, a World War Two drama and the sad tale of illicit love in the 18th century. The scenes will be acted at different locations on the farm.

Ghosts of the Farm will be performed on February 16-18 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Bluebell Farm on 01332 673924 at a cost of £16. Anyone with a particularly nervous disposition should not attend. The audience should dress in warm clothes and wear appropriate footwear. Audience members can bring their own alcoholic drink.
