On tour with The Soldiers

Following the release of their fourth studio album, The Soldiers march into Buxton next week as part of an extensive 24-date UK tour.

The talented trio, who in 2009 became Britain’s first group of serving soldiers to enter the pop charts, will present an evening of uplifting music at Buxton Opera House on Tuesday February 12, at 8pm.

Join Sergeant Major Gary Chilton, Staff Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi as they showcase tracks from their new album including ‘With The Ones I Love’ and ‘Home’, as well as ‘Tears In Heaven’, ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ and ‘Coming Home’ from their previous albums.

They will also perform versions of some of their favourite songs, from Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to Van Morrison’s ‘Brown Eyed Girl’.

Stripping back their stage show, the musical arrangement for the Up Close tour will be more intimate as Richie, Ryan and Gary are accompanied by their favourite musicians, pushing the trio’s stunning vocals to the forefront of the performance.

The Soldiers have sold over a million albums in the UK, with proceeds going to armed forces charities including the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, Help For Heroes and The Royal British Legion.

Canadian singer and songwriter Josh Taerk will be supporting The Solders ahead of the release of his debut single ‘Smell The Roses’.

Tickets to see The Soldiers, priced £21.50 and £23.50, are available on 0845 127 2190.
