The Samaritans will hold an auction and meal in aid of its counselling service in September.
Chesterfield Samaritans, which covers the Matlock and Bakewell areas, has organised a pie and pea supper to run alongside the auction.

A wide range of quality donated items, as well as a range of "promises" will be up for grabs.

A Chesterfield Samaritans spokesman said: "We would like to thank everyone who has donated items for the auction.

"Items can still be brought to the Samaritans Shop on West Bars in Chesterfield and will be gratefully received.

"Almost all of our funding has to come from charity donations so events like this auction are essential for us to carry on providing our service.

"We hope the auction will be a big success and be well supported," he added.

Tickets for the event on Thursday September 4 will cost £5.

It will start at 7.30pm in The Olde House, Loundsley Green Road in Chesterfield.

Admission is free for under 16s.
