Community's celebration
Residents and visitors came together to celebrate village life in Cromford.
The annual event showcased the varied talents on offer in the village, including art, dancing and singing.
Highlights were Dave and Sue Cope showing their 1917 Fowler Tiger tractor, Cromford ladies chorus DaleDiva performing a storming set in the marquee at Scarthin, crafts exhibitions and a beer festival and live music at the Boat Inn.
The weather held out for the festivities, which were opened by former Blue Peter presenter Simon Groom on Friday evening.
Television soap writer Peter Kerry was also on hand to sign copies of his new novel along with Cromford's own Emmerdale writer Chris Thompson.
Chairman John Haynes said one of the high points for him was the showing of a 1960s film exploring Cromford Soughs.
He added: "There was standing room only.
"It is the first time it has been shown in Cromford since the late 1970s. We thought it would be something different and lots of people came to see it."
