Four people have been charged after police discovered 1,100 cannabis plants during a raid on a Sheldon farm.
Police found the plants in an outbuilding at Home Farm in the village on Thursday May 8 at 10.30am.

Four men, one woman and a juvenile male were arrested on Thursday, with another man arrested on Friday morning.

Three Vietnamese men - Tien Van Dang, 32, Manh Trong Diep, 47, and Huyphat Huy Bui, 35 - were all charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and with growing cannabis.

Another man, Nader Kohanzad, 56, was charged with production of cannabis. He was of Iranian descent.

The four co-accused appeared at Chesterfield Magistrate Court on Monday.

Their case was adjourned until the following day.

The other three people were released without charge after questioning.

Derbyshire Police said in a statement that the raid followed enquiries initiated by a Police Community Support Officer.
