Chatsworth visitors are being invited to a free day's entry in to the house and garden next month to marka momentous year.
Chatsworth House has offered the special invitation to mark the 90th birthday of the Dowager Duchess Deborah Devonshire.

Anyone aged nine or 90 can enjoy one free entry into the house and garden on any day from March 14 to March 31.

Visitors will also get a chance to see a new exhibition which offers a rare insight into the Dowager Duchess's life illustrated with mementos and keepsakes.

She said: "Putting this exhibition together has meant thinking back over the nine decades of my life so far, and trying to gather together mementos and photographs that will interest visitors to Chatsworth this year.

"I have been lucky enough to know many fascinating people and be involved in local and national organisations and good causes, and the displays will reflect these."

Chatsworth re-opens on March 14.
