A four-by-four collided with a car in a Dales village on Tuesday afternoon, causing delays for rush-hour motorists.
The Isuzi Trooper and a Ford Focus crashed at 3.40pm, at the junction of the A6 and Chatsworth Road in Rowsley.

A police spokeswoman said an elderly male passenger from the Focus was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for a check-up. He was the only person injured.

The A6 was partially closed in both directions until 7pm while officers examined the wreckage, causing long tailbacks towards Bakewell and Darley Dale.
