A Dales man ran, swam and cycled his way round a gruelling triathlon course to raise money for a Peak District charity.
Matlock web designer Ross Hume competed in the team sprint event at the London Triathlon to raise money for Bakewell-based charity Village Aid.

Ross said: "We are all global citizens and I think it's a great idea to do what we can to help provide support and opportunities to others who just want to have a fair shot at life.

"By supporting Village Aid we can make change happen," he added.

Ross and his team partner Ryan Dennis came 79th out of 328 pairs.

Over £2000 was raised for Village Aid by four triathlon competitors at the event and charity bosses hoped more Dales residents would sign up for next year's race.
