A Peak District school has won a prestigous award for its excellence in teaching arts subjects.
Lady Manners School in Bakewell won the Artsmark Silver award at a ceremony at Nottingham Playhouse on Thursday June 12.

Arts Council East Midlands director Laura Dyer said: "The Artsmark is a fantastic way of validating and celebrating the school's hard work and commitment to the arts.

"I hope their success will encourage others to apply for this award."

Across Derbyshire, 34 schools won Artsmark awards, but Lady Manners school was the only one from within the Derbyshire Dales.
