Bakewell Show bosses are hoping for a big turnout to the second day of its premier event.
Yesterday saw crowds flocking to the showground site and there are plenty of attractions and competitions taking place today.

Organisers reported a good turnout for Wednesday's events.

Show manager Janet Bailey said: "Times may be hard, but Bakewell Show seems to have benefited from the credit crunch as people look for good value days out.

"We've had a phenomenal response from traders too. We've had so many people applying for stands that we've been turning them away for weeks now.

"The economic downturn seems to be working in our favour."
