Biker flown to intensive care after head-on Peak District smash

A biker is in intensive care after a head-on crash on a Peak District road at the weekend.
The 22-year-old man was driving a 125cc Honda motorcycle which collided with a Toyota IQ2 car on the B6012 between Chatsworth House and Beeley, at 5.30pm on Sunday.

The man, who is from Heanor, suffered multiple fractures and was airlifted to Derby City Hospital's intensive care unit, where his condition was described as stable on Monday afternoon.

Police and highways officers closed the B6012 after the crash to clear debris.
