Blueprint is approved

RESIDENTS are invited to have their say on a new blueprint setting out aims for Derbyshire's future.
Derbyshire county councillors have approved a plan ffor 2010 to 2014, called Derbyshire – Leading The Way, which focuses on key areas, including giving people more choice and say in council decisions, providing high-quality services and value for money and giving children the best start in life.

Council leader Andrew Lewer said: "It provides a blueprint for what we will do over the next four years and how we aim to achieve improvements in the areas residents have told us are most important to them and
which we feel are priorities.

The new council plan will be approved and published by the end of April.

Deadline for comments is Tuesday April 6.
