Stoney Middleton's Patsy Peters completed a demanding 24-mile trek through the Peak District and raised over £2,000 to help improve sports facilities on the village playing field.
She and husband Howard, tackled the circular Dark Peak Walk from Hathersage which takes in Stanedge Edge, Back Tor, Fairholmes, Haggwater Bridge, Win Hill and Bamford.

Patsy and Howard made their walk for SMILE – Stoney Middleton Interest and Leisure Enterprise – which is working to improve facilities on the village playing field and has long-term plans to build a village hall for the community.

Jane Sheldon, vice chairman of SMILE, said this week: "To complete the Dark Peak Walk is quite a feat because it's very demanding. Patsy and Howard did incredibly well and raised a lot of money for our project."
