Peak District novelist to launch new book
A Peak District-based novelist will launch her new book about the complex process of dealing with grief next month.
Great Longstone author Sue Hepworth's book Zuzu's Petals is a comedy drama set in Sheffield and North Yorkshire.
Despite being a comedy, the book deals with serious issues about life after the loss of a loved one.
Sue said: When my 84-year-old father died I was amazed at how hard it hit me, and how long I grieved for him.
"I kept a journal about my feelings and I have used a lot of this material in Zuzu's Petals.
"So although the book is comedic and romantic, the heart of it is serious and deals with the death of a parent and the impact it has," she added.
The launch event will be held at Scarthin Books in Cromford, at 6pm on Thursday July 3.
