A YEAR is long time in anyone’s life, but a Bakewell photographer and filmmaker has documented his in a unique way.

Paul Morgans has snapped 365 consecutive photos, one each day of the year as a part of a project for on-line social media platform, blipfoto.

Starting in January 21, 2011, when he uploaded a snap of the sunset from Wadshelf, he completed his year-long task on Saturday.

Over the year the has taken photos of anything that caught his eye that day, from flowers in full bloom in a packet of wet wipes- his bizarre choice for Christmas Day.

Each are listed on blipfoto.com with a short explanation for his choice of shot for that day.

The 43-year-old heard about the photo-based website from a friend and decided to take up the challenge.

He said: “My inspiration comes from what I see around me. If I’m out of the house I have no problem being inspired.”

Originally from Wales, he has lived in London and Manchester before making the move to Bakewell eight years ago, immediately finding a wider scope of subjects to photograph.

“I have loved the discipline blip has given me,” he added.
