A Government minister has visited a Derbyshire chocolate firm to discuss international growth opportunities.

Lord Green, Trade and Investment Minister, was joined by representatives from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) when he visited the Thorntons chocolate factory.

Lord Green met with company chief executive officer Jonathan Hart and his senior team to discuss how UKTI can further support Thorntons with opportunities abroad.

Lord Green said: “I am pleased to have been able to find out more about what’s happening at Thorntons, its positive plans to increase exports and how local advisers from the UKTI local team are helping support the company at a challenging time.”
