Lauren Holmes of Wild Olive

A High Peak soap maker has won a national award for her luxury bath melts.

Julie Holmes, who owns Wild Olive in the Cavendish Arcade, The Crescent, Buxton, won the Giftware Association’s gift of the year 2014, in the body, bath and spa category, on Sunday.

Her colourful, fragrant bath melts, which include varieties such as gardenia bath sundae and lavender and patchouli souffle, are hand made with natural ingredients at Integrity House, on Graphite Way, Hadfield. Designed to look like cupcakes, they are sold in egg boxes.
