Cafe hosts exhibition

A Matlock cafe is hosting an exhibition of landscape photography.

Peli Deli, in Crown Square, is displaying work by Jim Dixon .

His work is inspired by the landscape and heritage of the Peak District.

Jim said: “I particularly love Oker Hill and the views from Will Shore’s Tree.

“William Wordsworth described the hill as ‘That Lofty Place’ in his sonnet about the two trees and the two brothers. It certainly is lofty and this gives great views over the Derwent Valley in all directions”.

Peli Deli owner Mike Blair said: “So far we’ve had great feedback on the photographs.

People especially like the atmospheric views of the Derwent Valley.”
