Exhibition will launch season

Peak District Artisans will once again mark the opening of Haddon Hall’s 2012 season by presenting their fine art and craft fair in this magnificent fortified medieval manor.

Following the success of last year’s Spring Showcase, the exhibition, which opens on March 23, will be the second time the group has exhibited at Haddon Hall. As well as enjoying a selection of work from the Peak District’s finest artists, designer-makers and contemporary artisans, visitors will also be given access to enjoy this splendid venue which dates back to the 12th century – for just £1.

The event will bring together 38 members of PDA including some latest additions to the group. Chris Farrow, chairman of PDA said: “We were delighted with the attendance at last year’s event, so when Lord Edward Manners invited us back for 2012 we naturally accepted. We have many new events planned for 2012, returning to Haddon is the perfect way to embark on our programme of exhibitions”.

The exhibition will open with a preview evening 6pm-9pm on Friday, March 23, followed by 10am–5pm on Saturday, March 24, and 10am–4.30pm on Sunday, March 25.

Tickets for the preview evening can be obtained by calling Haddon Hall on 01629 810912.
