Fire service issue update after two cars caught up in blaze outside Chesterfield Town Hall

Two cars caught fire outside Chesterfield Town Hall yesterday – and the fire service has issued an update on the incident.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend an incident at the Rose Hill Car Park, off Saltergate, at 12.20pm on Monday, December 12.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles well alight and extinguished the fire – wearing two breathing apparatus and using two hose reel jets.

There are no reports of any injuries. Fire crews left the scene at shortly after 1.00pm and the incident has been handed over to Derbyshire Police.
