Buxton Talking Newspaper has received a welcome boost from Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club.

Last year’s captains, Marcus Wood and Pam Wilson, raised money for the group, as well as supporting the Whaley Bridge/Chapel First Responders Group. And their busy year culminated with them presenting a cheque for £1,350 to Patricia Kerry, who organises the talking newspaper.

She said: “This donation will help enormously with our running costs, enable us to service our recording equipment and generally improve the quality of the service we can provide to our listeners.”
