4G to arrive in Glossop

Mobile phone operator EE is to be the first to switch on 4G mobile broadband in Glossop today (Thursday).

The arrival of 4G means locals will be able to download an HD movie to their mobile in minutes, or quickly upload their high resolution snaps of the Peak District, the company said.

Regional Manager Mayur Patel said: “With the launch of superfast 4G, Glossop’s residents and businesses can now enjoy the benefits of faster mobile internet and improved connectivity. From streaming HD video on the move to seamless web browsing, 4G has already made a big difference to millions across the country.”
