A knight’s tale is told

Those who enjoy a tall tale are invited to a storytelling event next week.

Matlock Storytelling Cafe will be presenting Gawain and the Green Knight, a classic tale reinterpreted by Sarah Rundle, at The Imperial Rooms, Imperial Road, Matlock, Friday October 5.

The story is of Gorgeous Gawain, the king’s nephew, who rides out in golden armour on his white horse on a suicidal mission. his journey long and cold.

Sarah’s storytelling is said to be both poignant and witty, as well as deeply moving and funny,

Tickets cost £7 and are available from The Greenway Cafe, in Snitterton Road, Matlock, calling the Storytelling Cafe on 01629 580023, or by paying on the door.

Doors open 6.45pm and the show begins at 7.30pm.
