Accelarate the success of your business

The Matlock Mercury is offering a substantial free advertising package to the area’s most dynamic fledgling businesses after signing up to the Business Accelerators campaign.

The initiative, backed by Dragons’ Den judge Deborah Meaden, is called Local Business Accelerators (LBA) and is being spearheaded by the voice of local media, the Newspaper Society.

As part of the Business Accelerators campaign, hundreds of local newspapers are joining forces to back Local companies.

Since the launch, the Business Growth Fund has come forward to add a £10,000 cash sum to the prize package for the overall winner.

The winners of the Matlock Mercury competition will go forward into a regional contest and eventually there will be a national competition to find the country’s most promising young businesses and help them ‘accelerate’ their success with top professional advice from business mentors, including input from business guru Deborah Meaden.

The lucky business to eventually be picked from the hundreds of regional winners will get individual mentoring sessions from the LBA national ambassador Deborah, who will become a consultant and mentor to the firm for one year.

Local Business Accelerators is open to all businesses that are active in the local community served by the Mercury, which are between one and three years old and full of potential. Entries close on November 16, 2012.
