Air views on turbine plan
West Derbyshire MP Patrick McLoughlin is calling for wide consultation over wind turbine plans for Carsington.
Mr McLoughlin is urging residents to put forward their views about proposals to erect four turbines at Carsington Pastures.
Plans to harness green energy have been described as an "unwelcome alien feature" by the Peak Park Planning Authority and were refused planning permission by Derbyshire Dales District Council.
A public enquiry is scheduled to start on July 1 after Wind Energy Limited, the company behind the proposals, launched an appeal.
Mr McLoughlin is calling on district councillors to ensure public involvement is well publicised after local residents complained previous consultations were not widely advertised.
In a letter to the council, he said: "Last time an application was submitted, I received many complaints from constituents, who felt that events were not published widely enough.
"In this rural area I feel it is important for residents to be kept fully aware of their chances to voice their opinions on large local projects such as wind turbines."
