Appeal after assault in Buxton pub

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a Buxton pub.

On Friday, January 11 at 10.35pm an 18-year-old man was assaulted at the Cheshire Cheese pub on High Street.

He was head butted and had a glass smashed in his face. The victim suffered cuts and has lost half of his front tooth.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause serious bodily harm. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
