Apprentice of the year

A FORMER Highfields pupil is celebrating after being awarded the Stagecoach UK Bus Apprentice of the Year.

Izet Iseni, of Matlock, was presented with the coveted accolade at a special awards ceremony which was held in Manchester in September.

The 19-year-old mechanical engineer completed three years of training at the Stagecoach garage depot which is based in Chesterfield and quickly impressed his colleagues.
