ASPIRING master-bakers of the future are getting the chance to hone their kneading, proofing and patisserie skills at the Bakewell Pudding Shop, after taking up a new bakery apprenticeship at Buxton College.
Only a few months after Buxton College launched its bakery apprenticeships, students are already becoming experts in their trade, thanks to weekly training on brand new equipment at the college and time spent working in local bakeries.
The owner of the Bakewell Pudding Shop, Helen Hartley, said: “I think apprenticeships are fantastic.
“Bakery seems to be growing in popularity and so we might look to add another apprenticeship soon.”
