Artisans raise cash
Artisans have helped raise £2,500 for a Bakewell based charity.
Members of Peak District Artisans raised the cash for Helen’s Trust with a silent auction.
Fifteen pieces – some of which were designed specifically for the auction – were donated by members of the group.
A Magic Night at the Opera raised £500 for the trust, contributing to the final amount raised.
Speaking on behalf of Helen’s Trust, community fund–raiser Sophie Gill said: “We’re delighted to receive the proceeds raised from the silent auction.
“Helen’s Trust is entirely reliant on voluntary income and the Peak District Artisans generosity will help to make a real difference to local people with terminal illness.”
The group’s Chairman, Chris Farrow said: “The auction was a resounding success, it’s great to be able to support Helen’s Trust and the fantastic work they do.”
