Bakewell police teach about safety

.

.

Townspeople are being encouraged to increase their shed security as part of a forcewide campaign to tackle shed and garden burglary.

Officers from the Bakewell Safer Neighbourhood Team will be heading out on the road to speak to residents about the steps that they can take to protect their property as part of a countywide initiative.

They will be at a Birchover garden event between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, June 14, to offer crime prevention advice around protecting sheds, garages and outbuildings.

Officers will also team up with the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service on Thursday, June 19, visiting residents in Over Haddon to offer advice on crime and fire prevention.
