Ben is first recipient of trophy in memory of Thomas

The Thomas Theyer Memorial Trophy, kindly donated by Thomas parents Chris and Alan Theyer, is proudly presented by his sister, Aimee to winner Ben Bower.

Ben Bower has become the first recipient of the Thomas Theyer Memorial Trophy after being the first local junior to complete Saturday’s Buxton Carnival road race.

With a time of 25.14, Ben finished in 21st position overall in the race and was presented with his award by Thomas’ sister Aimee.

Thomas, 18, of Chapel-en-le-Frith, sadly died after a fall while out running last year.
