A mum has gone the extra mile to show her support for a school and playgroup.

Tilly Ward, of Matlock, cycled 160 miles – from Anglesey to Matlock – to raise money for Lea Primary School and Holloway Playgroup.

Tilly was so grateful to the two organisations for their excellent care of her son Eddie, 3, and daughter Sophie, 6, that she decided to take on the task, which took her three days to complete.

She said: “What really inspired me to do it was that the playgroup and school have really done a lot for my children.

“But it was also a celebration of the school being named ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.”

Tilly thinks she has raised about £500, which will be split between the two causes.
