Century Maker: Reverend Graham Foster of Ashford in the Water, who celebrated his 100th birthday on January 21.
A PRIEST celebrated his 100th birthday by doing what he does best- enjoying a service.
Rev Graham Foster was given a service in his honour at Holy Trinity Church in Ashford in the Water.
He was ordained priest in 1938 and served parishes in Worcestershire, South Yorkshire and in Derbyshire, including Ashford in the Water.
For 22 years in retirement he was an associate priest at All Saints’ Church in, Bakewell.
He now lives in retirement in Ashford in the Water and is married to Constance and have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
He has three children, grand and great grandchildren, one of whom is the churchwarden of Ashford in the Water - John Foster.
