Boiler sparks stables blaze

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a popular country estate.

Crews were called to reports of a building fire at Lyme Hall, Lyme Park, Disley, at about 6.30pm on Saturday.

Upon arrival firefighters discovered a blaze involving a kerosene-powered boiler in the former stables.

Firefighters from Derbyshire, Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Poynton battled the small blaze.

No-one was injured.
