Chapel-en-le-Frith WI has donated £100 to Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.

The cheque, presented by Margaret Bywater, had been received from the organisers of the Four Inns Walk in appreciation of the work of the WI ladies at the event.
The volunteer-run Buxton Mountain Rescue Team is raising funds for a new control vehicle, as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

A Chapel WI spokeswoman said: “The group started following the deaths of several scouts on the Four Inns Walk, so it was an excellent choice for our donation from the event this year.”
