Youlgrave has been host to an annual presentation.

The women’s section of the Youlgrave Royal British Legion hosted the Purse Presentation at the Village Hall, in Coldwell End.

The presentation is, for the Branches of Derbyshire, the culmination of their year’s fund–raising.

Andrew McCloy, the editor of the Bugle and member of the Peak National Park Authority, did the county the honour of receiving the purses and was amazed at how much had been raised over the year.

The total raised was £11,040 – up by over £1,400 on the previous year.
