Brassy Bonsall
While this old photograph may appear to be extremely old, it’s actually only from the seventies.
The shot shows a day when the peaceful village of Bonsall was roused by a visit from TV’s Ted Moult.
Ted arrived by stage coach and gave villagers a blast from the past on a post-horn.
The reason for the visit was that Ted was recording a show for the BBC that centred on Bonsall Cross and the day this photograph was taken was a particularly foggy December morning.
Caroline Dale from the Red House Stables supplied the coach, horses and post horn, while children from the village school performed ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’.
