Some pet bunnies had a lucky escape when a large gust of wind turned over their hutch – smashing it.
Mercury reader Karen Fry sent us this picture of the remnants of the rabbit hutch following the bad weather yesterday.
She commented: “I was in the kitchen when I heard a huge gust of wind – it increased in noise and obviously strength, as our very heavy double cage blew right over and yes, the rabbits were in it.
“Luckily they were in the small bed area so weren’t thrown about too much, but completely covered in shavings!”
